"Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth, for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God." (Colossians 3:2) Your life is hidden with Christ in God! Yes, it is.
Here is a summary of my day: QT, Big Apple, Computer work and browsing, Wedding interview, walk (wimped out on bike ride because of strong wind), reading, writing this blog, shower, dinner out and movie with friends. Joyce is with Leah doing some birthday gift shopping.
"The good news we share with one another is the gospel's declaration that no matter where we are in life, we are recipients of God's limitless grace. We can have peace, joy, assurance, comfort, hope, tranquility, confidence and companionship with our Creator and beyond that life eternal. With a life bank full of such gifts we are indeed rich. And yet, so often I permit myself to slip into poverty thinking and poverty living. I fee3l anxious, alone, fearful, faithless, without joy, and sometimes without hope. I feel this way because I have forgotten and lost grip on the inheritance that God gives me anew every morning. Many of us live in spiritual poverty because we have forgotten who we are as God's children and who God is as our loving and almighty Creator." [Reuben Job, A Guide To Prayer for all Who Seek God]
The Spiritual Formation Bible on Haggai 2:4-5; "Scripture is our personal love letter from God, if only we can hear the voice of the One who is calling our name. We may not be called 'Zerubbabel' or 'Joshua,' but these verses nevertheless speak to us as they spoke to those in King Darius's court long ago. In what way do you need courage in your life3 today? How do you need the strength of God's Spirit? Substitute your own name so that you can hear, "Yet now take courage, ___________... for I am with you...My Spirit abides among you; do not fear" Accept this personal promise; feel courage grow within you as you realize that the God who spoke through Haggai speaks to you today."
Blessings on your Lord's Day tomorrow and "Do what God says and say what God does.'
