Glad that I could assist Leah and Kurt on their winter escape journey to the Dominican Republic (I think?), somewhere warm out of the country anyway. We have snow storm in Holland while they predict a severe winter storm for the northeast. We are caring for Juliana and Emma while their parents are gone. Suspect that is more meaningful for us than for them. Weather is preventing Sarah and Maya from joining us but maybe for the best as just heard from Sarah that Maya has a double ear infection. Not good. I had a two for one breakfast croissant sandwich coupon from Burger King so on my way home from Grand Rapids airport stopped and ate them both, how dumb is that but enjoyed them.
Here are the important necessary ideas I wanted to share. They are not original with me but gleaned from last week's reading in A Guide To Prayer For All Who Seek God which I assume applies to all who receive this.
We must become aware of the sacred n every single element of life.
We must grow in concert with the God who is within.
We must be in the world differently. What needs to be changed in us? Anything that makes us the sole center of ourselves needs to be done away with.
Anything that drowns out the voice of the Ultimate within must be damped.
We must begin to do life, to be with people, to accept circumstances, to ring good to evil in ways that speak of the presence of God in every moment.
God's joy and peace as you grow your soul.
