Sound and Blameless

From lectionary readings of the past week:

"I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my whole being shall exult in my God;
for God has clothed me with the garments of salvation,
God has covered me with the robe of righteousness..."    Isaiah 61:10

I am saved and righteous; pretty fantastic knowing who I am and what I've done.

"May the God of peace himself sanctify you entirely;
and may your spirit and soul and body be kept sound and blameless
at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The One who calls you is faithful,
and he will do this."

God is at work in our lives for spiritual transformation and will succeed at what God is doing. That is just spectacular and so encouraging.

Peter Marshall said, "God will not permit any troubles to come upon us unless God has a specific plan by which great blessing can come out of the difficulty."
