Always with God

Saturday morning has gone by fast. I did my start the day walk. Then I had two couple interviews for couples wanting to use Pillar Church for their wedding. I agreed to do this ministry for the church as they discern who should use their facility for their weddings, mostly for non-members. I was looking for sun today but has been mostly cloudy but at least near 40 temperature wise.

Luke 15 and the stories of the lost being found were the gospel lectionary readings of the past two days. These are always encouraging and uplifting teachings from the lips of Jesus. I hope you had a chance to read them and reflect on them and how God has worked in your life.

Did you notice the Father's/God's words to the elder son who is angry with his father for forgiving and accepting back his younger brother. We are often disparaging of this son's response and attitude but the father said to him, verse 31; "Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours."
Wow! Amazing and wonderful. No matter his response God declares that this boy too is his and will continue to share in God's inheritance and blessings. We would probably write this self-righteous person off but God does otherwise. It is not for us to be the judge of God's acceptance and view of others who may seem different from us in our walk with God and soul development work.

I pray you have a meaningful, inspiring, significant worship experience on Sunday if that is part of your soul-working discipline. God's joy and peace be yours and remember you are special to God and loved.
