Psalm 147:5 "Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; God's understanding is beyond measure."
It is encouraging to know that God understands me/us and cares for me/us. God -- always there, always loving.
The ESV study Bible note on Psalm 147:4-5 is so meaningful. "God's greatness never implies remoteness from God's people nor does it mean indifference to the unfaithful/unbelieving. God has the wisdom and the power to carry through God's purposes, with such care that "not one is missing."
Psalm 147:11 "but the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear (trust, reverence) the Lord, in those who hope in God's steadfast love."
The following quote from my journal book by Mary Manin Morrissey is great wisdom.
"Start living now. Stop saving the good china for that special occasion. Stop withholding your love until that special person materializes. Every day you are alive is a special occasion. Every minute, every breath, is a gift from God."
God help us to be the best that we can be, now.
