The chapter is titled "Thoughts of Judgment Block the Light." It is from Marianne Williamson's Everyday Grace. These statements will give you some fodder for your thoughts.
"When my mother said, God willing," she was instinctively showing humility before the power of God. She knew it wasn't a good thing to assume that human will can totally control anything...In my parents' house God was a given. I grew up to appreciate the meaning of the word "awe," as applied to the spirit of God...God has a plan for your life, and all life, which is perfect and unassailable. There is only one thing that can keep it from finding its way to your door, and that is you. As children of God, we've been given free will: We can think with Him, or not think with Him. But We cannot limit the creative power of our thoughts. When our thoughts are thoughts of love, then we are aligned with and receive His power. When our thoughts are judgmental, then we are choosing to turn our backs on God. We can no longer see the light He is shining on us when we stop shining it on others...only love can summon the powers of God...People deserve love not because of what they do, but because of who they are. When someone has forgotten their love, they have fallen asleep to who they are; our mystical challenge and our spiritual power, lies in choosing to remain awake...Whenever you are angry, know you're hurting yourself. Ask for a healing. Ask to experience your own angelic nature that you might see beyond someone else's behavior to the angel, however wounded, within them...When we realize our mission is to love and forgive, we realize that every situation is an opportunity to do so. What we might see as a problem is looked at differently when we recognize that every event is part of a divine curriculum, set up by God for our growth and healing...God commanded us to love one another as a way of removing from our midst all that is not love...Jesus' kingdom is not of this world. And neither is ours."
Trust you can be blessed by something in there. "Do what God says and say what God does."
